Welcome to the most boring gold stack on YouTube. So the journey to pick up 100 sovereigns this year is complete…. But we are still looking ahead to the next target. I’d like to fill some more tubes, pick up the Tudor Beasts, get some more sovereign dates and pick up some more 1 Oz coins. I think 137 sovs would be 1kg in sovs alone so that seems a reasonable target on the way toward 100 Oz 👌🏽 Thanks for watching, looking forwards to chatting in the comments. 1. Hey ive always been intrested in buying gold where is a safe place to buy gold coins or bars from?

    1. Depending which country you’re based in but I would stick with big, reputable dealers at least for your first purchases so you know what you’re buying, it’s a topic I’m covering on an upcoming video in more depth.
If you’re in UK, Atkinsons, Hatton Garden Metals or Bullion by Post are my first choices. I shop around depending on the deals and offers, stock levels and just depending on the coin I want at the time. If you do use Bullion by Post they have an attractive offer for your first order, I’ve left some info and a link in the description of the video

    2. @Golden UZ I’ve never used a dealer in the US but have heard of Apmex and JmBullion. You possibly have a local coin store that’s reputable too, they seem much more common than in the UK

  2. Nice stack.🤘 And indeed a great way to store personal wealth as the purchasing power of global currencies is inflated away.

    1. Thanks Saxon. Yes I think the double is actually a better size to celebrate with when you consider the 1489 ‘sovereign’ spec

  3. Thanks for the vid, Nice stack but you lack 99,99% gold. I think you need to hold at least 50% in 99;99% coins. And… I can’t wait to buy sovereigns with Charles. Cheers

    1. I wonder which year it will be. You’re right there’s a higher portion of the stack in 22ct with the gold sovereigns. I think if I were in Australia or Canada I’d stick with 9999 gold

    2. I dont know why u think that. The worlds first bullion coin and the current most popular bullion coin are both not 99.9% gold coins.

  4. I’ve been hoping to find a quarter ounce gold Red Dragon of Wales for several months because it has to be my favorite single coin right now but it’s really hard to source for a decent price. But guess what!? I found one for just under 500 USD and it’s gonna ship on the 18th!!

    1. I’d be buying it at that price. Great find! I’ve got the QB dragon in 1/4 and 1 Oz just because I like it the most

    2. @Sovereign Saurus it’s probably the single best looking coin (IMO) from the Royal Mint. Except perhaps for the Unicorn of Scotland..lol. The QB series is genius.

  5. That is a big stack to have accumulated in a couple years! Question- how liquid are the soverigns at the LCS? Do you get spot or north of spot?

    1. Dealers prices vary according to the market. Recently a major dealer in the UK was offering 1-2% over spot. In a period where gold is out of favour or stock is abundant then it could of course be the other way. There’s many ‘we buy gold’ type places in the UK which would give very poor offers where I wouldn’t go near

  6. Some of those sovereigns would have a higher numismatic value over bullion value. So is this a ‘stack’ or collection ?

    1. You’re right there. Whilst I’m ultimately a stacker I do buy a few bits and pieces when I think they’re well priced or might gain a premium in the longer term. I have a video due out soon where I’m breaking down my stack into the different aspects. Having some extra options could be good in a crowded market place if that happens to be the case when I come to sell.

  7. Hello 👋
