Some young excavators hit the jackpot. More than 400 gold coins dating back 1,100 years were unearthed during a dig in central Israel. The Israeli Antiquities Authority says the teens who found it were volunteers helping to prepare the site where a new neighborhood is planned to be built. It was also a significant amount of money to just be buried in the ground. Historians say it was enough to buy a luxurious home. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more. #InsideEdition

  1. There all Arabic – A point conveniently omitted – The Jewish population was 2.5% back then most being a cluster of orthodox families in Arabic Jerusalem

    1. The coins do date to well after the Arab invasion of Israel. The Palestinian claim is about as valid as the Roman’s. Note that Jewish coins and artifacts dating back more than twice the age of these coins have been found throughout the land. I’ve been to many of those sites myself.
